Repetier host won't lt me select printer
BLK errors?
I recently upgraded to Repetier Host v2 and can no longer communicate with my printer
Everything was running reasonably well before the upgrade. Since the upgrade to RH 2.0.4 I have not been able to communicate to the printer. The "Connect/Disconnect" Icon on RH switches from one to the other but it doesn't seem to be communication with the printer.
I see the following in the RH GUI and logs:nn Commands Waiting
No start signal detected - forcing start
N1 M110*34
N2 M115*36
N3 M105*36
N4 M114*35
N5 m111 s6*98
JOV?f?J?z?%iE$%?JXF?*( run on string of random looking characters...)
Communication timeout - reset send buffer block
.
.
.
A search of faq's and posts all seem point to communications configuration. I've verified that the "Printer Settings" are correct (baud rate etc.) and the MM is connected properly.
Does anyone know what the solution might be?
Thanks

How to enable Heatbed?
How to disable Checksum ?
I modified the Repetier firmware a little bit, so I could send my own encrypted special gcode over serial port and run it properly. However, the same special gcode cannot be sent via Repetier Host. I guess, the codes sent via Repetier Host goes through a correction “check”. I want to override this control and sent my own special encrypted gcode via Repetier Host, how can I do this? (my code includes mostly meaningless characters)
How can additional Slic3r Overrides be added to Repetier-Host
Startup G-code for Slic3r?
It appears the Slic3r's "Printer Settings, Start G-code" is listed after the above, which is not what I desire.
Currently, I edit each-and-every-one of my sliced G-code sources before printing.
Is there a way to insert some Startup G-code before the "M107" line in the default code?
Editing G-code script for manual control buttons.
When I updated to version 1.5.4 the pull down box to allow editing of the 5 scripts for the buttons on the manual control screen seems to have disappeared from the G-Code editor screen. Is it located in a different place now?
How do I change the starting procedure
My printer starts each printing by raising Z axel about 5-10mm, then waits for the temperatur to be reached and then starts to print. Why does it do that and how can I change it?
What I want is for it to go to and stay put in home position, heat up, and extrude some filament before starting printing. This way it gets more clean for my nozzle witch otherwise often gets some melted filament stuck on it.
I use the default starting Gcode and as far as I can tell there is no instructions to raise printer head?
Z Controls not working
The type of printer is a Kossel, and I am using a RAMPS 1.4 board w/Arduino Mega 2560, and I am connecting it via USB. Any help would be great. Also, Ive set my printer shape to Rostock Printer (Circular print shape) and I can see a square shaped object on the virtual bed that is hollow on the top and bottom, which is far from the center of the circle. Is this normal?
Thanks
Installed on DaVinci 1.0a - Motors, Light, Headed bed will not work
Now, the long explination...
I am using the DaVinci fork of repetier from here.
I failed my first few attempts at flashing, and got the "black bars". I uninstalled/re-installed Arduino software (which I had been using for other Arduino projects for years) and then the firmware installed perfectly.
I changed the DaVinci settings, in firmware, as follows:
http://forum.repetier.com/discussion/3938/davinci-1-0a-motors-not-moving/p1
The post describes zero's in the firmware being the problem, and gives numbers to replace the zero's.
How do I access the firmware and edit the zero's?
Z Axis Homed Then moves wrong up or down
Hey everyone,
New to 3d printing period, built a reprapguru V2 which has the arduino 2560 & Ramps 1.4 with marlin 1.8.3 installed. So I've been looking all around just trying to get this thing to run right and I almost have it good but I am stuck currently. Basically, after I home the Z, to which it will travel down and hit the endstop just fine, but after that if I hit the manual control to move it ether up or down using the .01, .1, 1 or 10 buttons it automatically starts to move down towards the endstop. I am not sure the exact distance but its equal to about 3 inches of travel. I was looking through the code in marlin and couldn't see anything out of the ordinary (Im new to c++ however) and there is no home offset in the eeprom settings. Also, the X and Y don't have this problem, can anyone offer a suggestion?
I need to build a similar repetier host
Hi I'm trying to make my school project. I am trying to make a similar Repetier Host, Firstly I've started to learn repetier protocol,
I checked this link
I didn't fully understand for example, this part: Comparison of sizes: L1 Command 1: L2 G1 E10810.1 F1000 L3 Original size: 21 Bytes L4 Updated for errorcheck: L5 N6654 G1 E10810.1 F1000 *65 L6 Errorcheck size: 29 Bytes L7 repetier-protocol: 15 Bytes I couldn't understand how the orginal size is 21 bytes in L3 and what is *65 means, I guess it's comes from fletcers checksum but I'm not sure. What does exactly mean of this ?

printer settings; extruder speed
i have just created this account to ask one question, maybe somebody can help...
Why are there two input fields in the printer settings tab "printer" for the extruder speed?
I am working with the version V.1.6.2 on a windows 10 installation.
Thanks, Matten

Issues with repetier - Error: [steps]
I have some issues with my new corexy printer. Software 0.92.9. Testing X and Y axes, Z axis isn't plugged in yet.

Could you please assist?

Not displaying 3D Model preview

I have built myself a Rostock and am loving using Repetier. If it weren't for your dedication I probably would have abandoned a DIY printer a long time ago. I can't get over the ease of which I was able to get this printer running.
When I first fired up Repetier, the tablet model was present but since then it hasn't shown.
