After flashing Repetier on Da Vinci 1.0A, extruder hit side of bed.

Extruder hit side of bed, side of the glass when I start printing. What adjustment do I need to do? I have seen many videos on youtube on flashing repetier, but seems a straight forward thing? Or is not?

I'm new to 3d printing. I'm trying to use a roll of Verbatim PLA to print on my Da Vinci 1.0A.

Tried doing the cartridge hack and use the roll of PLA to print but after printing a few minutes, it would not extrude any filament. Going back to ABS, extruder ok.

I have 2 Da Vinci 1.0A. One on stock firmware, one I just flash repetier. Would like to have repetier working.
Appreciate help. Just started learning 3D printing.

Hello, I have stopped working auto level bed about a year ago after the update Repiter-Host.My probe Z goes now on the top instead of going down, what to do?

wall around object

Greeting,
I don't know what I did but I am getting a 'wall' around my printed objects. I do not know what feature I turned on but, how do I stop it from being generated. I suppose it could be called a draft wall? And I have that in the Slic3r set to default of 1.

Slow to load some STL files

Hi all I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue.
Some STL files that I open take a really long time to load in to Rep-Host. Such as this tree frog model, will take 20-25min before it opens. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18479
Opening the same file in RepG or other programs takes 3-4 sec.
It seems related to the file size but 20min is way too long especially if other programs are near instant. I don't have issues with all files just the files that are around 8mb or more.
I'm using v1.0.5 but I think I had the same issue with past versions.
Is this normal? Any known fix's to reduce load time?

Let me know if any more info is needed.

Repetier Hosts - Print Panel Z-Axis

So I have a Delta Kossel Mini 3d Printer, and I am trying to get it back up and running but one problem I am having is that when I go to manually move the z-axis down 1 mm, it goes down 2 instead, and I am not sure what the problem is. I am using the Mac version of Repetier, with the newest version of Repetier Software.

Also I would post the pictures but not sure how to do that.

Extruder Calibration

Soo. I have a solidoodle Workbench dual extruder printer. I replaced the stock extruders with two ED3 v6 hotends. I have successfully flashed the motherboard with the correct firmware (based on instructions from the soliforum website). The machine responds to all my commands. One issue I cannot seam to figure out inside Repetier Host is how to calibrate my extruders. My machine has a Z Probe. I have edited my slicer start G code to include an auto probe feature (G29). My machine probes the bed and then starts to print.. The problem is, when it starts printing, the extruders are too high and none of the filament sticks to the table. How do I calibrate this z offset? I understand I can edit my firmware to disable the autoprobe, I would prefer not to do this. I hope there is a way inside of Repetier Host I can calibrate these extruders without taking my printer apart again and flashing the mother board. Please Help!!

Thank You

Exception during socket read

Hi,

I got my Raspberry reinstalled with Raspbian Jennie.
I have installed repeater server. It works well so far everything.

Wen I connect with the repeater host comes the error:
"Exception during socket read:Zu viele Elemente im Kombinationsfeld.."

Why is that? Before everything went.

Object not manifold

When I load this file Host says it is not manifold, but it is perfect - so why does Host V1.6.2 think it is not. Solid inspector2 and SU Solid Pro both say it is perfect.
It is a small object about 9mm round and 4.25mm high with a hole thru the center, created in Sketchup.
I printed one previously and this one is only slightly different in size.

Changing stepper_high_delay

I'm using a RAMPS 1.4, and have tried uploading the firmware v0.92.8 and using Repetier host v1.6.2 on both Linux and Windows. It seems my stepper motors require around 1ms delay. They work smoothly with this test code http://reprap.org/wiki/RAMPS_1.4#RAMPS_1.4_test_code where it sets the step pin to high, uses delay(1), sets them to low and loops again.

With Repetier, they'll rarely budge and just make a whining sound. Setting STEPPER_HIGH_DELAY to 1000 in Configuration.h allows them to move, but causes Repetier Host to print things like

Movements of 0.1 are also around the same as movements of 1.
Is there some preference I should be changing, or a value to put in the EEPROM? Or should I be changing the delay in a different way?

Feed Rate VS Run Rate

I am curious to understand the correlation between the Feed rate and the run rate.

I am printing an model and both values above at 100.  If I bump up the run rate to 120, I understand that I will be under extruding the filament. to keep things proportional, I should bump up the feed rate also.  Is there a general rule that determines how much to increase the feed rate to minimize any under extrusion? Is it a one to one increase? please advise and educate me.

Sincerely,

Israel

Z Axis not moving upwards

Hey,

I'm new to 3D printing and I've recently finished building my printer (Acrylic 3DCSTAR P802-MHS 3D Printer) and have been trying to fix it's problems, this one I could not figure out, so maybe you guys can help me out!

The problem is the Z axis does not move upwards both in manual control and while printing. In the Manual control it moves downwards no matter if I push the "up" or "down" button. X- an y-axis work correctly.

Do you have a solution to my Problem?

Printing mid-air with servo auto bed leveling on Repitier Host

$

Hey! im running into a few problems with auto bed leveling, after setting up auto bed leveling using servo from ZennmasterM's youtube tutorial and giving the print command, my printer performs the bed leveling routine and then the z axis lifts (ive adjusted the raise before probing value to be 35mm in Marlin) the servo arm swings and stays parallel to the bed, now im expecting the x-carriage to lower and the nozzle to come near the bed, but it simply starts printing in mid air, I cannot find a solution to this and it is immensely frustrating kindly help!

I marked a point on the bed
I used G92 X0 Y0 Z0 after bringing the nozzle to touch the bed on marked point, after which I raised Z axis, then used M280 P0 S(degree) to extend servo arm, brought arm to same point. used M114 to find co-ordinates of point, inverted their signes and plugged these values into Marlin, under the x,y and z offsets. This was the procedure i followed.

After Slicing i added the G29 command after the initial G28 which is for homing, everything works fine, besides the fact that the print starts in mid air, quite above the bed.

Looking forward to helpful comments from the Community!

Issue Since Updating Today 10/18/2016

So I have a custom V-slot 3d printer. It runs Repetier Host. Has been running it for almost three years.

Now It forced me to update since it wasn't allowing me to fully 3d Print anymore. Meaning it would show a print that I've been doing repeatedly for almost 2 years. Then when in Preview it would only show half the object was to be printed and the times were all incorrect as well and yes for those of you wondering it did only print half the object for no reason whatsoever.

So i Updated and this is my issue.

My settings which have never changed much due to good calibration are all screwed up now. It transferred all the correct values and all my old settings in the update, but when it actually comes time to print the object it has one hell of a X&Y Jerk. I mean small fast jerks. Kinda like its having fast seizures.

My jerk is set to 10MM as it always has been but the thing is that its now jerking at less then 5mm. I mean it wont even put down a straight rectilinear infill. It does the shell nice and smooth, but the infill is all jerky and annoying. Meaning that its not infilling at the correct percentages either. I know because i set a print to 100% to test this. It is not 100% like it used to be under the older version of Repetier-Host.

I am at a loss. My values are correct, my V6 extruder is not jammed and cleaned regularly. My Ramps 1.4 board has not been changed in anyway.

All i did was update to the newest version of Repetier Host and everything has gone to complete hell. Mind you I do this for work and am now going to be very behind on orders. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?

communication timeout after powering up

I bought a new arduino mega 2560 with ramps 1,4, uploaded firmware that worked on last one and all worked, then I used new (tested with multimeter) 12V power supply. From that time everytime I try to connect to computer it only blinks and repetier-host says communication timeout. I tried reuploading firmware, but arduino IDE says the same... communication timeout. I tried reinstaling driver, also alternative drivers for this type of board, but same. I tried all other baud rate setting, but same. And I tried this all on two separate computers (one have got Win10, other one Win8.1) Please what else can I even try? Or how can I avoid this to happen next time?

X, Y, Co-ordinate problems

Hello :-)

I'm having some problems with work and extruder positions on the print bed - also a possible related Z probe position issue that may be related but I'll try and get the initial positions sorted first!

Usable print bed area is 850mm (X) by 600mm (Y).

Two extruder setup, second extruder is 134mm behind the first on the X plane.

The extruder offset is set in the firmware and set to zero in sli3cr. Printing a part with either extruder results and the same printing position so the offset would seem to be working ok.

The first issue is that when extruder 2 is selected the gantry moves forward after homing 134mm to place extruder 2 in the same position as number 1 correctly applying the offset. However it is still possible to command a full 850mm X positive move resulting in a X axis end crash.

The second issue is positioning the work on the bed prior to slicing. Using the "center object" command results in the object printing correctly in the center of the bed using either extruder but according to the host seems to be at a completely random location in regards to the X,Y distance - see screen shot.

Centre of the bed should be, X = 425mm, Y = 300mm. However in the host the center shows as, X = 130mm, Y = 337mm.

I'd be grateful if anyone can show me where I've set this up wrong!

Something wrong with the printer or software??

Heated bed in CNC MODE

Hello guys,

the question is how: i can use my 3D printer (repetier firmware 1.0.0 dev - repetier host 1.6.2) in cnc mode (M453) without the heated bed connected? Repetier host give me a fatal error (heater/sensor failure), it would be possible to simulate a fake temp sensor in CNC or LASER MODE ?

Thanks!!!

Marco

My stepper motors are not working

So i just downloaded thenrepetier host software/ firmware, and the printer is hooked up to the computer, and  i can manually move the printer with the axis buttons, but when i tell the printer to run the gcode the printer only uses the x axis resulting in the print only printing a line and getting balled up on the printer. i know that the printer works fine, but i think the software is not working properly, and i think it is how the calibration wassetup

How to set autolevel to not error when probing

$

So i am able to use auto level if i use a repetition of "1", but if I set it to a repetition of "2" then it tries to go back past the z home position after the first probing, so my z max is 239.5ish (i have the max set to 240 in software) and after the first probe point it then tries to go to a z of 250 which is outside of my range and it triggers my zmax endstop and i get a fatal error, how do i fix this?
